Miscellaneaous Text of James "Jay" and Piera Young's email Notes

11 November 1996 (No surgery needed for Sergey)

Dear Christian friends at Great Falls,

We write you from Rome, Italy. After an extensive and exhaustive battery of medical analysis and tests at Rome's world-famous Bambino Gesu' (Baby Jesus) Children's Hospital, little Sergey Yavorsky was dismissed from the hospital; surgical intervention was not required this time. We are thrilled about this news. He is to be carefully monitored every 6 months in Ukraine and I will submit these periodic results to the Heart-team here in Rome for their study and future recommendations. Sergey, his mother and Dr. Slavuta depart Rome tomorrow morning early for their return to Odessa, Ukraine.

Piera and I plan to be home in Arlington for Thanksgiving with our children, and want to be with you for your morning service, December 1, 1996. If possible, we would like to spend the day with you, and, if it's not too late... make that Lord's Day "Mission Day at Great Falls".

We are eager to see you all! Please acknowledge receiving this communication. Dan, I would have sent you a copy of this, but don't have your e-mail address on my laptop with which I travel.

From the brethren in Rome (who very generously gave of themselves to our Ukrainian guests), from our brethren in Odessa and Kiev, Ukraine and from us a most fraternal greeting, in Christ. We love you and appreciate your many prayers on Sergey's and our behalf.

In Christian love, care and service,
James "Jay" and Piera Young

Dear friend(s),

  1. Here's an update on little Sergey Yavorsky:

"Sergey Yavorsky (age 10) was dismissed from the Bambino Gesú (Baby Jesus) Children's Hospital in Rome without having to undergo heart-bypass surgery at this time. The four heart-specialists at the hospital concurred that he must be monitored for the next several months to see if the mouth of the aorta will enlarge by itself; if not, then surgery will be required. Because of his current condition, the "ballooning" process was considered to be too dangerous for him. He, his mother and our sister (Dr.) Slavuta returned to Odessa, Ukraine, on Monday November 11, 1996. We are so happy with how God worked things out. More later. God bless you all and thank you for your prayers and your support throughout our attempts to assist this little boy."

  4. Here is our itinerary, in "the rough":

God bless you all.

"Constant" Addresses and Numbers

TO: All interested Christian friends

Dear Christian friends,

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Piera and I do trust all of you are well and working hard in the Kingdom of our Lord. We returned to Europe last week from a very strenuous and tiring two months of reporting and visiting in the States: we traveled over 16,000 by plane and car visiting individuals and churches in thirteen states and the District of Columbia!

We are currently preparing our "They of Italy Salute You" Picture-report and you should be receiving it shortly. IF you are not receiving this informative bulletin about the Lord's work in both Italy and Ukraine, and you would like to receive it, please e-mail us your Postal mailing address a.s.a.p. We'll be glad to place your name and address on the "They of Italy Salute You" mailing list!

THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION AS TO OUR POSTAL ADDRESS, OUR TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND E-MAIL ADDRESS. Please follow the guide below until further notice:

  1. Our postal address is ONLY (AND please send all your correspondence by AIR MAIL):
    James Young
    C. P. No. 99 51100
    PISTOIA (Italy)
  2. OUR ONLY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS THE FOLLOWING:

  3. Our phone numbers:
    Phone and/or FAX: (from the U.S.) 011-39-573-903402

IF, and, AGAIN: IF you get the FAX-modem-type sound (that whistling sound!!), and you don't wish to send us a fax, then phone the following number: (from the U.S.) 011-39-338-692-5611. IF you are phoning from within Europe, it's probably: 0039-338-692-5611. BUT, if you are already in Italy and wish to contact us at this number, you must dial: 0338-692-5611.

If this information interests you, please make a record of it. God bless all of you!
